The days are getting colder and there is frost on the pumpkins.  It is hard to believe that the holiday season is right around the corner.  In fact, at the time of me writing this, there are only 60 shopping days left till Christmas!  I will try not to think about that.  I will try and think about Pathways to Excellence for the Montgomery County Chapter.  I was reviewing the requirements for the Chapter of Excellence award and realized how far ahead of the curve we stand.  It is as I always thought, our chapter is an excellent chapter and it is the members that keep it on this path.  We work as a team and accomplish a lot.  It is my goal to try and earn this award for us.  I hope to have all of your support.

I would like to welcome all of the newest members of our chapter.  You have joined a great team of people.  I can only say that you will get out as much as you put in.  Please get involved, there is plenty to do!

I hope to see most of you at the Southeast Council meeting on November 1^st.  It promises to be a valuable learning experience as well as a chance to meet your fellow IAAP members within our region.  I am very much looking forward to it and I hope you are too.

By the time we meet again on November 11^th our country will have elected a new president.  I hope all of you take the time to exercise your right to vote on November 4^th.  It is a valuable right that we as citizens of the United States have and some countries do not.  Please honor your right and vote!
